Our Sites

Our multi-site exhibit provides attendees with a chance to witness intuitionally-supported and community centered experiences that center on multiple facets of the Black Maternal Health Crisis.

We knew that Houston, TX, housed in the county with the highest Black maternal death rates in the US, was the perfect place to begin this conversation. With a sprawling medical center and many historically-Black neighborhoods, our imprint in Space City is the perfect launching place. Check out one or plan a day and see all of our Houston Sites.

Included with regular admission

Our anchor site for our Houston experience is the John P. McGovern Museum of Health and Medical Science. Our immersive waiting room and dreamscape allow attendees to see what a typical doctor's visit feels like for Black and pregnant patients, and dream of what it could be with more cultural competent care.
